End-of-line inspection with AI vision
Finished goods checked at the last quality gate before they leave the line, against the quality criteria your plant sets.
Updated October 2026 · 3D simulation, illustrativeEnd-of-line inspection is the last quality gate before product leaves the plant. Industrial AI Vision, our vision inspection system, applies machine vision to finished goods on Australian production lines, checking for case damage, open flaps, missing product, debris on the load and any visible quality criteria your plant sets. Every result is recorded with its image for quality assurance and traceability.
Stopped at the line
Damaged cases, missing product and debris dealt with before they’re palletised.
Your quality standard
Checks set to the criteria your plant defines for each product.
Image-backed records
A photo and result for every check, ready for audits, claims and customer queries.
Finished goods, checked to your standard
These are general examples. The checks themselves follow the quality criteria your plant sets for each product.
- 01
Cases and cartons
- Case damage and crushed corners
- Flaps closed, tape present
- Product count in open cases
- Leaflet or insert present
- 02
Palletiser layers
- Finished goods checked before each layer is placed
- Damaged cases kept off the load
- 03
Debris and foreign material
- Debris on cases and layers
- Foreign material on the load
- 04
Your criteria
- Any visible quality criteria your plant sets
- Defined for each product with your quality team
Example: inspection on a robotic palletising cell
On a robotic palletising cell, cases accumulate on the infeed conveyor and the robot builds each pallet layer by layer to the specified layer count.
A damaged case or debris that makes it onto the load becomes rework, a quality hold or a customer claim.
The vision system inspects the finished goods before each layer is placed. It checks for case damage, debris and the quality criteria set for that product.
When a check fails, it signals the line control to stop the cell, so the operator can rectify the fault before palletising resumes.
The operator display shows an annotated image of the load with the defect marked, alongside a pass or fail result for each check, so the operator knows exactly which case to pull and why.
Every result is recorded with its image for quality assurance and traceability.

Built to your specification
Every plant sets its own quality standards, so every application starts with your requirements.
- 01
Your requirements first
We start by understanding your products, your specifications and the faults that matter to your plant.
- 02
Product-specific models
Trained in the Industrial AI Vision Lab (VLab) on your products and the quality criteria you set. How custom models are trained.
- 03
Validated and commissioned
Validated on your production data before go-live, and commissioned with your team.
Integrated with your plant
The vision system connects with your plant’s existing control systems, reject equipment, operator displays and data platforms. How plant integration works.
- 01
Stops, holds and rejects
Failed checks are acted on through your existing reject systems, from pushers and diverters to line stops.
- 02
Operator displays
An annotated image with the defect marked, and a pass or fail result for each check, on your existing screens or a dedicated display.
Quality intelligence from the end of the line
Manual checks sample a fraction of output. With every result recorded, end-of-line quality becomes measurable, comparable and traceable.
- Results by line, shift, product and batch
- Defect types and trends over time
- Image-backed records for audits, claims and customer queries
- Automated reports, with data into your existing systems
The next stages: pallet and loading dock
Once the pallet is built, pallet inspection checks the finished load before dispatch. At the dock, loading dock inspection checks the condition of each pallet as it’s loaded or received.
