Label inspection and date code verification on every pack
Industrial AI Vision checks that every pack carries the right label, in the right place, with a legible and correct date and batch code.
Updated October 2026 · 3D simulation, illustrativeIndustrial AI Vision, our vision inspection system, is a label inspection system for Australian production lines. It checks every pack for the correct label for the product, label position and condition, a date, batch or lot code that is present, legible and correct for the run, and a readable barcode. Non-conforming packs are removed by your existing reject equipment, and every result is recorded with its image.
Wrong labels stopped
The wrong artwork, variant or allergen label caught before it reaches a customer.
Codes you can trust
Every date and batch code confirmed present, legible and correct for the run.
Image-backed records
A photo and result for every pack, ready for audits and customer queries.

Date and batch codes read, checked and recorded
Optical character recognition reads each printed code and compares it with the code expected for the run.
- Present: on every pack, in the right place
- Legible: no smudged, faint or broken characters
- Correct: matches the date, batch and lot for the run
- Recorded: a photo of each code, kept with the run

The right label from the first pack of every run
Most label errors happen at changeover. Settings switch with the product, and the first packs of each run are verified against the new label and code.
- 01
Settings per product
Label artwork, variant, allergen panel and code format are stored for each product you run.
- 02
Leftover labels caught
A roll from the previous run or an old date code is flagged on the first packs, before a whole run is affected.
- 03
New products added
New labels are trained in the Industrial AI Vision Lab (VLab) and agreed with your quality team before production. How custom models are trained.
Integrated with your labelling line
Industrial AI Vision connects with your line’s control systems, reject equipment, operator displays and data platforms. How plant integration works.
- 01
Reject and divert
Mislabelled and miscoded packs are removed by the reject and divert equipment already on your line.
- 02
Operator alerts
Repeated faults, such as a coder running faint, are raised on your existing screens so the cause is fixed quickly.
- 03
Quality records
Results by line, shift, product and batch, with an image of every label and code for audits and customer queries.
Why label errors matter
A wrong label or allergen panel can mean a recall, and a missing or incorrect date code can mean a whole run is held. Manual checks sample a few packs per hour and leave no record of the rest. An inspection system applies one standard to every pack and keeps the photo. The real cost of manual inspection.
Works alongside your coders and scanners
Inkjet, laser and thermal transfer coders keep printing, and barcode scanners keep scanning. Industrial AI Vision adds the visual checks they can’t make and can run alongside an existing vision system. Computer vision vs machine vision.
Product-specific models
Each model is developed in the Vision Lab and trained on your labels and codes under your line’s lighting. For seals, cartons and end-of-line checks, see packaging inspection; for food lines, food and beverage inspection; for finished pallets, pallet and dispatch verification.
