Loading dock inspection for pallet damage and condition
Inbound and outbound pallets checked for condition at the dock, against the standards your site sets, with a photo record of every pallet.
Updated October 2026Loading dock inspection checks the condition of pallets, loads and goods as they move through the dock. Industrial AI Vision, our vision inspection system, inspects outbound pallets as they’re loaded and inbound deliveries as they’re received, against the condition criteria your site sets. Each pallet is recorded with its image, as proof of condition for claims and queries with customers and suppliers.
Outbound and inbound
Pallets checked as they’re loaded and as they’re received.
Your site’s standard
Condition criteria defined with you, for your products and customers.
Proof of condition
A photo of every pallet, ready when a claim or query comes in.
Condition checked in both directions
Pallets leaving your site and deliveries arriving at it are checked against your criteria and recorded.
Outbound loading
Each pallet and load is checked for condition as it’s loaded. A photo of every pallet is kept as proof of its condition when it left your dock.
Inbound receiving
Deliveries are checked for condition on arrival, so damage is recorded before the goods are accepted. The image is evidence for claims and queries with your suppliers.
Your standard, defined with you
Every site has its own specification for an acceptable pallet. We start by understanding yours, then set the inspection to match.
- Damaged pallet bases
- Crushed or unstable loads
- Damaged goods
- Any condition criteria your site sets
- 01
Requirements first
We work through your products, your customers’ specifications and the condition criteria your team works to.
- 02
Trained on your pallets and goods
Site-specific models are trained in the Industrial AI Vision Lab (VLab) on your own pallets, loads and goods. How custom models are trained.

Validated and commissioned
Validated on your own data before go-live, and commissioned with your team.
A record of every pallet
Each pallet is recorded with its image, the time, the dock door and the result.

Cameras and edge deployment
- 01
Cameras
We supply and install industrial cameras and lighting specified for each dock, or integrate with your existing dock CCTV where it’s suitable. Adding AI to existing cameras.
- 02
Edge-first deployment
Offline edge deployment runs entirely within your facility, so production data stays on site and inspection has no dependence on external connectivity. Cloud and hybrid deployments are available where remote access and multi-site reporting matter. Edge AI vs cloud AI.
From the end of the line to the loading dock
Finished goods are checked with end-of-line inspection, and finished pallets with pallet inspection before dispatch. At the dock, the condition of each pallet is checked as it leaves your site, and of each delivery as it arrives.
