Pallet & dispatch

Pallet inspection that verifies every load before dispatch

Industrial AI Vision checks every finished pallet for the right product, count, wrap and labels before it leaves the dock, with a photo record of each one.

Updated October 2026 · 3D simulation, illustrative

Industrial AI Vision, our vision inspection system, is a pallet inspection system for Australian plants, warehouses and distribution centres. It checks each finished pallet at the end of the line or before dispatch for the right product, the expected layer and case count, intact wrap and strapping, readable pallet labels and visible damage. Every result is recorded with its image, so there is a record of every pallet that left the site.

Fewer dispatch errors

Wrong product, short counts and missing labels caught before the truck is loaded.

Automated counting

Layers and cases counted and recorded against the product and run.

Proof of condition

A photo of every pallet as it left, ready for customer queries and claims.

What it checks

Every finished pallet, checked before it ships

  1. 01

    Load and count

    • Layer and case count
    • Stack pattern
    • Overhang and leaning loads
  2. 02

    Wrap and strapping

    • Stretch wrap coverage
    • Strapping present
    • Loose or torn wrap
  3. 03

    Pallet labels

    • Label present on each face
    • SSCC and barcode readable
    • Label matches the product
  4. 04

    Pallet and damage

    • Pallet base condition
    • Crushed or damaged cases
    • Product to order
Dispatch verification

The right pallet, the right count, the right label

Each pallet is compared with what should be on it, and the result is stored with its image.

  • Right product: matches the run or order
  • Right count: layers and cases as expected
  • Right labels: present, readable and matched
  • Recorded: photo, time and result for every pallet

Where it fits

At the end of the line or the dispatch lane

Cameras and lighting are specified for each location, and models are trained on your own pallets, load patterns and labels.

  1. 01

    End of line

After the palletiser and stretch wrapper, before the pallet is moved to storage.

  2. 02

    Dispatch lane

Before loading, so the pallet on the truck is the one on the order.

  3. 03

    New products and load patterns

Trained in the Industrial AI Vision Lab (VLab) and validated before production. How custom models are trained.

Integration

Integrated with your plant and dispatch

Industrial AI Vision connects with your control systems, operator displays and data platforms. How plant integration works.

  1. 01

    Hold and divert

Failed pallets are held or diverted for rework through your existing conveyors and procedures.

  2. 02

    Operator displays

Pass and fail results, reasons and images on your existing screens or a dedicated display.

  3. 03

    Dispatch records

Results by line, shift, product and batch, with an image of every pallet that left the site.

Why check pallets with vision

A pallet that leaves short, mislabelled or damaged costs a credit, a re-delivery or a customer’s trust. End-of-line checks by hand are spot checks with no record. An inspection system checks every pallet the same way and keeps the photo. The real cost of manual inspection.

Works alongside your wrapper, labeller and scanners

Your stretch wrapper, pallet label applicator and barcode scanners stay in place. Industrial AI Vision adds the visual check they can’t make: what the finished pallet looks like as it leaves.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can it count cases and layers on a wrapped pallet?
Yes, where the cases are visible through the wrap. Cameras are positioned to see the faces of the pallet, and the model is trained on your load patterns, so layers and cases are counted and compared with the expected count for the product.
Does it check pallet labels and SSCC barcodes?
Yes. It confirms the pallet label is present, in the right place and readable, and can read the SSCC or other barcode so the label can be matched to the product on the pallet.
Where does pallet inspection fit on our site?
Usually after the stretch wrapper at the end of the line, or in the dispatch lane before loading. Cameras and lighting are positioned for each location.
What happens when a pallet fails?
Industrial AI Vision signals your line’s control system or operator display, so the pallet can be held, diverted or reworked through your existing equipment and procedures. Every failure is recorded with its photo. How plant integration works.
Can it connect to our warehouse management system?
Results can be recorded alongside your warehouse management or ERP system, for example to confirm what was loaded at which door. Direct integration depends on your system and is confirmed per site.
Do we need new cameras?
It depends on the application. We supply and install industrial cameras and lighting specified for pallet inspection, or integrate with your existing cameras where they’re suitable.
